Increasingly seeing signs from expert commentators that the Russia collapse may actually happen as suggested by less informed individuals. There’s still a lot of people urging caution, but maybe now we can start being hopeful?
A tweet thread on why we are almost certainly overestimating the amount of strength the Russian Army has on hand, and the amount they can actually get to Ukraine when their first force losses get so high that it starts becoming combat ineffective. Yes, its logistics. @BoringWar

Here’s an interesting thread on the types of conflicts Russia has been involved in since the fall of the USSR. This latest conflict is unlike anything modern Russia has tried before, and in the long run has almost no benefits, even if they beat Ukraine.
I wonder if what looks ever more like a huge military, economic, and strategic disaster for Russia is a product of a category error by Putin, who failed to appreciate what type of Russian military action he was starting. (A thread – apologies for the length.)

Experts say that there is no chance of a Chernobyl style explosion.
The actual nuclear specialists are coming out of the woodwork to say that no, it would not be a marvel-movie-style explosion. Yes, it's bad — fuel could leak. But let's not retweet gov't pronouncements uncritically. It's a different kind of reactor than Chernobyl. pic.twitter.com/udyigaEWk8
