As truly horrific as this is, can anyone say they are genuinely surprised? Can anyone remember the last time a year went past without the Catholic church having a paedophilia scandal?

Honestly I wouldn’t say they’re going to “lose the right to fire based on sexuality” and more “equal rights are finally going to be enforced.

Religion is not itself a mental illness, but it can certainly lead to mental illness.

I wouldn’t call this shocking, so much as a consequence of putting people in unquestioned positions of power with no accountability.
